KICK OFF HOLIDAY SHOPPING SEASON
A Mini “Indoor” Street Fair – Saturday, November 22nd - Mark Your Calendar!
Make plans to attend the 2014 Shop Local Expo presented by the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce. This brand new community shopping extravaganza, which is FREE to the public, will focus on local businesses and crafters offering their goods and services and will officially kick off the holiday shopping season.
On Saturday, November 22, the 20,000 square foot indoor area of Mountain Gate Plaza will come to life and resemble a “mini street fair” with dozens of vendors made up of artists, crafters, business products, community organizations, commercial vendors, and plenty of product samples. In addition, the event will include entertainment, drawings and fun for the kids.
“The Shop Local Expo was created to kick off the holiday shopping season while providing an opportunity for our local member businesses and local crafters to showcase and sell their goods and services to an expected crowd of over 3,000 people, says Chamber Vice President and Event Chair, Michele Bennett, “and with the event being held the weekend before Thanksgiving, people can find the perfect gifts for themselves or for any holiday occasion.”
Sierra Vista Medical, located in Mountaingate Plaza, is the Premier Sponsor for the event. During the Expo they will offer a variety of free and low cost services including flu shots, free Zumba Class and free blood pressure/blood sugar checks. Free fingerprinting for children will also be offered.
Mountain Gate Plaza is located at Los Angeles Avenue (at First Street). Parking and Admission are Free to the public.
