Guide: Duck Parks in Simi Valley

Where to feed ducks in Simi Valley

By Mackenzie Erickson, Publisher of Macaroni Kid Simi Valley ~ Moorpark May 10, 2021

We are lucky in Simi Valley & Moorpark to have so many great "duck parks" to enjoy. From rolling streams to bursting fountains, these water features attract more than just the ducks. Simi Valley and Moorpark's duck parks keep the kids active, are a great place to meet old friends (and make new friends!), and they're FREE!

Check out this Duck Park Guide for Simi Valley and Moorpark.

Locations are listed alphabetically:

Rancho Simi Community Park

1765 Royal Ave
Simi Valley, CA 93065

What we love about Rancho Simi Community Park:

The lagoon at Rancho Simi Community Park is great because of how huge it is. There is always plenty of room to feed the ducks and walk around the pond. This park is neat because it even has a little stream that runs down into the lagoon. The stream is fun for older kids because they enjoy trying to hop from rock to rock to cross the stream without falling in, and it is nice for little kids because they enjoy watching sticks and leaves flow down it. (Bonus - this is a nice place to take photos for families, prom groups, sports teams, etc.)

Simi Hills Neighborhood Park

5031 Alamo St
Simi Valley, Ca 93063

What we love about Simi Hills Neighborhood Park:

When I say let's go to the "duck park", this is the one my husband immediately thinks of because this was the park he grew up with. (You might also know it as Simi Hills Golf Course.) There is a large lagoon in front of the golf course where you can fish, feed the ducks, or look for a few shy turtles! Another plus, there is some good shade and picnic tables if you want to make a longer trip out of it! Definitely a great little park to go check out!

Amenities at Simi Hills Neighborhood Park:

  • Duck Lagoon (with fishing)
  • Picnic Tables
  • Close Parking
  • Shade
