Mondays: 
Tiny Tots 10am
Little Bilingual Readers 11am
Arty Mondays 2pm:Explore the arts! This is a hands-on art workshop perfect for children ages 6 and up. 
Tuesdays:
Preschool Storytime 11:30am (except July 1, 12pm)
Lego Tuesdays 2-4pm (except July 1)
Read! Build! Play! Enjoy the fun of playing and learning with Lego style blocks. Perfect for all ages.
Family Storytime 6:30pm (except July 1, 7pm)

Get Ready for School Storytime! 11:00am
Waggin’ Tales 3pm and 6pm

June 12 Magic of Tony Daniels:Tony will delight and impress with incredible magical illusions!
June 19 The Amazing Chris: Join the Amazing Chris as he demonstrates his high flying acrobatic and juggling skills.
June 26 Franklin Haynes Marionettes: Hand crafted marionettes and well told stories will amaze, young and old alike.
July 10 Craig Newton Musician: Craig Newton is a hometown favorite who will share a mix of musical selections.
 
July 17 Abbit the Average: There is nothing “average” about this popular magician and comedian. Plenty of fun for the whole family!
 
July 24 One World Rhythm: Ready to make some music? Try out a variety of instruments and learn to tap to the beat with this upbeat musical program.

What happens at the Library when everyone goes home? Enjoy this very special storytime with your favorite stuffed animal pal and then let them spend the night at the Library.

Hear from the Rune Warriors author about what inspired and drove him to write the popular mythology themed series.

Teens Summer Reading Program

Welcome to the start of your summer! Take a break out from the hot sun and enjoy a program with us. Enjoy our air conditioning as we make crafts, listen to authors and have other special happenings each and every week:
Week One!
Tuesday, June 10th, at 4pm, join Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District and the library as we have the perfect summer tote available for you to decorate and help carry all your delectable reads for the summer! Space is limited so be on time!
Wednesday, June 11th we’ll be having an all-day I Can Haz Cheeseburger Pet Photo Caption Contest. Swing by the library and add your hilarious captions to the photos found around the Teen area!
Thursday, June 12th at 6pm with Music to Our Ears. Please join us for a special “Music to Our Ears” concert where we will be announcing the bookmark contest winners.
Saturday, June 14th, at 1pm, learning how to help others by training your pet to become a therapy animal or volunteer with local Therapy Dog Teams. Join us and Lisa Trent from Therapy Dogs, International to learn about this wonderful organization and what you can do! There will also be time after our discussion for school aged children to read aloud to the visiting dogs!

Week Two!

Tuesday, June 17th, at 5pm
, for a treat-filled craft session. You’ll be making No Bake Treats for your pets. This event is for teens and adults, so get here early to get a seat!

Thursday, June 19th at 4pm join us for another animal themed craft! We’ll be making DIY Bird Feeders and Animal Pebbles for teens and adults. Decorate pebbles to spruce up your garden and make bird feeders out of cereal!

Saturday, June 21st, at 2pm, Cecil Castellucci, author of teen novels Boy Proof, The Queen of Cool, Beige, Rose Sees Red, The Plain Janes, Janes in Love, The Year of the Beasts and most recently First Day on Earth and Tin Star will be visiting us. Don’t miss this electric author! Book signing to follow. Everyone is welcome!

Week Three!

Tuesday, June 24th 3pm
we will be holding our Teen Book Club. Do you like Fiction? Please join us in the Teen Lounge for snacks and a book discussion. The book is Margaret Peterson Haddix’s The Always War. Join us and be heard!

Thursday, June 26th 4pm we will be showing the hilarious Best in Show (2000). Watch as this colorful array of characters competes at a national dog show. This film is rated PG-13 and a parent or guardian must attend with children under 13.

Friday, June 27th at 2pm, help us end our first month of our Summer Reading Program with author Jim Jennowein, who will not only speak about his series RuneWarriors, but will be presenting on Norse mythology. Book signing will follow.
