Last week Underwood Farms in Somis announced that Blueberry Picking season is now open. The blueberries are ripe and ready for picking daily from 9:00am - 5:00pm now through mid July 2018.
The Somis Underwood Farms is the only location that Underwood Farms offers pick your own blueberries. Picking begins on Saturday, April 22 and will run through approximately mid-June. Weather and farm conditions permitting.
The Somis farm offers free admission and you just pay for what you pick at the following rates:
- Blueberries - $4.99/lb (end of May - mid-July)
- Raspberries - $3.99/lb (June - November)
- Blackberries - $2.99/lb (June-December)
Families looking for berry picking family fun can now come seven-days a week from 9:00am - 5:00pm at the Underwood Farms location in Somis at 5696 Los Angeles Avenue and do some picking.
Admission is free and you just pay for whatever you pick. The farm also features a small play area for kids with animals and food so kids can feed them.
Visit on a weekend and the farm offers FREE tractor-drawn wagon rides from 9am to 2pm.
Hats & sunscreen are highly recommended! Bring loose change so the kids can visit the animals and feed them.
