By Informational Post December 9, 2018

In Wrightwood, California, Mountain High's  2018-19 season has started, and they have some great deals for your family if you want to go skiing.

Mountain High is Southern California's closest winter resort, just 90 minutes from L.A. and Orange County.  Please click here for directions to the resort.

NEW THIS YEAR

  • Mountain High is unveiling a new snow play area at its East Resort called the Yeti’s Snow Park.  This new snow park provides a fun setting for first-time guests with tubing, snow play, and introductory lessons for skiing and snowboarding.
  • In the tubing areas, up to 8 lanes are available offering a fun experience for first-time sliders and snow enthusiasts.  Guests must be 36” or taller to enter the tubing parks. Custom tubes are included in the price.
  • Mountain High’s new snow play areas are the perfect place for kids of all ages to become acquainted with the snow.  Guests should keep their eyes peeled for the Yeti and his friends as they make their way from zone to zone, singing songs and interacting with the public.

Visitors can also enjoy a sampling of true skiing and snowboarding in the "start park" where roving instructors are waiting to help. This new jump-in, jump-out lesson arena lets participants switch back and forth between skiing and snowboarding, teaching them helpful basics such as how to sidestep, how to traverse, how to fall and how to pick yourself up.  Each participant receives a “Bounce Back” coupon for a discount off their next lesson package at the resort.

The Yeti’s Snow Park is open weekends & holidays beginning at 8:30am.  Tickets are sold in 2-hour blocks at just $30 for Tubing, $20 for Snow play, and $25 for skiing/snowboarding introductions.  Guests can also purchase all three activities for just $59 and spend 2 hours in each.

Future activities in the Yeti’s Snow Park include scenic sky chair rides, ice skating, a snow climbing wall, snow forts, ice tunnels, and a hidden cave that doubles as the Yeti’s hideout.  If you are excited about the return of ski season but worried about the cost, Mountain High has several ways to help keep your wallet cool.
