Simi Valley AquaTrack & Open Swim

An Obstacle Course in a Pool?!? Sign Me Up!

By Mackenzie Erickson, Editor & Co-Publisher of Macaroni Kid Simi Valley - Moorpark June 3, 2022

In my family, summertime has always meant getting out and going swimming. Now you might think, there isn't anything better than swimming, and normally I would agree. However, the Rancho Simi Community Pool has an inflatable obstacle course (AquaTrack) that blows swimming out of the water! (Yikes - was that a Dad joke?!?)

The AquaTrack up and available to the public during Open Swim hours:

Monday-Friday from 1:00-3:00pm
(June 6 - August 9)

Saturday-Sunday from 1:00pm - 4:00pm
(June 4 - September 25)

Rancho Simi Community Pool is located at 1765 Royal Ave., Simi Valley, CA.

Swim for fun and stay cool while playing under the watchful eyes of the Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District lifeguard staff.

The Rancho Simi Community Pool has appealing amenities:

  • 50-meter Outdoor Heated Pool
  • 3 1/2 feet to 15 feet deep
  • 2 one-meter diving boards
  • 1 three-meter diving board
  • AquaTrack (Inflatable Obstacle Course)

Admission for all guests (whether swimming or not) into Open Swim is $4 per person. (Ages 2 and under is free. Ages 65+ is only $2 per person). Guests are welcome to bring umbrellas or canopy's and sit on the grassy hill in the pool area. Picnics are also allowed, though no glass is allowed into the area.

For safety, guests must successfully pass the swim test (swim across the pool without touching the sides / bottom / swim lane lines) in order to participate.

Be sure to grab your sunscreen and get ready for a great time at the Rancho Simi Community Pool!
